How to Make Your Own Great Videos With Just a Camcorder

This is the video that started it all! We decided years ago that it was about time that kids got out from in front of the TV, and got in front of a camera. This video teaches kids how to create their own finished video using only a camcorder and their own imagination. If you ever wanted to make your own top quality tapes, but didn't know how, this video will teach you.

IMPACT

 

Five serious car accidents in a single school year stunned a small Vermont community. In response, the students at the local high school created IMPACT-a 16-minute video which goes beyond statistics and scare tactics to tap into the emotional agony related to driving fatalities. The footage was shot by students using the actual people who were involved in the accidents. Those onscreen look directly into the camera and talk to the crash victims as if they were still alive. The video is so effective because as the viewer, you feel the dead driver is you.

"We the People..."

Steroetypes are often perpetuated and exaggerated through the media. This video analyzes the stereotypes which have evolved specific to America's indigenous peoples, as seen through cartoons, liquor, and cigarette advertisements. Several aspects of US history are examined from the Native American perspective. Interviews with Native American teens and adults indicate that the struggle to overcome the many obstacles created since "discovery" by Christopher Columbus still continues in earnest today.
